First, im sooo stoked for this game, especially after watching these vids. Wow, just wow. From GameDaily.Last year's Major League Baseball 2K6 played like an average team desperately clinging onto a final playoff spot. It offered plenty of exciting moments, but other (and better) sports video games brushed it aside. Although GameDaily received preview code (not suitable for review), the Xbox 360 version looks much better than its cell processor powered PlayStation 3 counterpart. For whatever reason, the PlayStation 3 MLB 2K7 lacks polish.

Visual Concepts Entertainment is an American video game developer based in Novato, California.Founded in May 1988, the company is best known for developing sport games in the 2K franchise, primarily NBA 2K and WWE 2K.Visual Concepts was acquired by Sega in May 1999 and sold to Take-Two Interactive in January 2005. The acquisition of the company led Take-Two Interactive to open their 2K label.

The foreground looks sharp, displaying the finest of details on pitchers and batters, but the background blurs, obscuring the ugly fans, the stadiums and outfield/infielders. Even the 2K Sports blimp that appears during the beginning of games moves slowly, its propellers slowly turning. The Xbox 360 version, on the other hand, looks amazing. All of the players resemble their real life counterparts, right down to body build (fat guys, represent) and little details, such as signature wristbands and shin guards. 2K Sports even captures their batting stances; Derek Jeter stands up straight, while other players lean over.and this one:Quote:2K Sports releases Major League Baseball 2K7 February 26, so look for GameDaily's review next week.

However, based on the Xbox 360 preview code, expect a high score. PS3, on the other hand, may not receive the same praise. QUOTE='Soulwatcher, post: 0The reason why it dosent look as good on the ps3 is because its a 360 port and ports never look good.

Just wait for ps3 Oblivion its going to blow the 360 version of the game out of the water. The ps3 can do better graphics then the 360 if the devlopers are not lazy. The funny thing about the whole deal is the xbox use to suffer from ps2 ports and now the tables are turned and its the ps3 suffering from 360 ports./QUOTEWhoa there bud. This is how flame wars start. Think before you post. QUOTE='Morganator, post: 0Whoa there bud. This is how flame wars start. Think before you post./QUOTESorry I have had a drink or 2 tonight, I own both systems and it just eurk's me when some one cant wait to post how the 360 can do a game better than the ps3.

When in fact its the devlopers being lazy and using sloppy code to port a game to turn a quick buck. If people started to boycot the games then the devlopers might get off their lazy butt and get the true power of both systems. Because both systems are powerful and capable of desplaying awesome graphics. If they can remake Oblivion and make it look better on the ps3 than the 360, then theres no reason why the devlopers cant do the same for every game on the ps3.

And just to prove I am not a ps3 fanboy but a true gamer, I have yet to see a better looking game than Gears of War on the ps3. So please guys no flame wars I love both of my systems equal =). I think we will have to wait one year for developers to get a better idea who to program for the ps3. I was going to buy it but now I'll wait for April to compare the two baseball games. If Sony's studios start making developers look silly they will have to try harder if they want my $$. I won't be buying any cheap ports held back by the 360 disk size.QUOTE='Shadowstar, post: 0You mean the Sony version of MLB?

I've heard it's not anywhere near as good./QUOTEPerhaps we should wait until they are both out before what you 'heard' becomes fact. But I have a feeling 2K might be better gameplay. No harm done though you're alright. I would be surprised if 2K games were to release the PS3 version at a lower quality for 2 reasons:1. MLB 2K7 is the exclusive baseball game for XBOX 360, while it has to compete with Sony's MLB '07: THE SHOW on ps3. Note that last year, the psp and ps2 version of THE SHOW was much better than 2K6, so they lost a big portion of the market over the last two years since MLB premiered on ps2 and psp.2. As of this point, they have had the best ports (NBA 2K7 & COLLEGE HOOPS 2K7) from 360 to PS3 besides maybe Oblivion, which they are a co-publisher of.It would dissapoint me greatly if this were true because 2K7 is said to be an absolutely different game when compared 2K6, which was a disgrace to baseball diehards like myself on all systems.EDIT:QUOTE='Mika Mo 25, post: 0Is E.A.

Making M.V.P. Or did some license deal go down with 2k sports and mlb?/quote They gave up on MLB baseball and now do college baseball.
